Forum Title: Rug job
There were about 900' of borders in this, 84 corners and 2 1/2 sets of stairs. The borders were cut off of pre-made runners, and the width of the border from one side to the other could be off as much as 1/4. On one side of the runner the row was easy to find, but on the other side of the same runner, we would have to fight for every inch. The trickiest part was due to the border pieces being pre-serged. I wanted to save the serging as new would run several thousand dollars, but we lost 1/4 or so on every mitered cut. We ended up finding some yarn that matched and hand serging all of the corners. It took forever. As usual, my picture taking skills are feeble. There were several rugs I didn't get pictures of, but they were all just boring rectangles anyway.
